Whether you want to replace your income, build a side income or build a social media marketing agency – this article will show you exactly how to get all the clients you want.
Since we are interested in business owners who are already searching for social media marketing and management services, we are now going to review actual service requests from business owners and managers who are actively searching for your services.
So remember – by focusing on people who are looking for your services, you can get more clients faster. This is the same reason why Google is worth more than $1 trillion dollars – because the magic happens when someone is searching for a service. And because Google’s model is based on matching searches with services or products, this is where the growth and success happens.
This article series will show you exactly how to leverage this key advantage. Once you know the steps involved, you will have a very valuable client getting skill. This skill can help you get all the clients you want and need, and the confidence and knowledge to repeat this process anytime you want, which can provide a sense of security and stability.
We are now going to review a sample of some actual service requests so that you can see how the process works. These service requests allow you to actually speak to the potential client, and are not like gig style freelancing projects which do not allow you to speak to the potential client.
Remember also, that because social media is an online service, it’s possible to serve clients remotely, either in your country or on an international basis.
Having reviewed thousands and thousands of different service requests over the years, and to help you get the best results as quickly as possible, I have prepared example service requests, and broken these down into 3 categories. This will enable you to quickly determine which service requests are worth contacting, so that you can get all the clients you want as fast as possible.
Reviewing Social Media Service Requests
High quality
Good quality
Other
I’ll also cover what to avoid, and recap with a checklist.
Note that the criteria for this purpose is based on the readiness to make a buying decision. The more defined a service request and the shorter the starting time scale – the higher quality the service request. Budget also plays a part, as this needs to be in line with your services and expectations. The recency of the service request is also important, as you want to be contacting clients as soon as possible once they have posted their service request, and not a few days later when they are more likely to have been contacted by other service providers.
What you are about to discover is a game changer and will make everything to do with getting clients on demand easier than ever before.
With that in mind let’s get started and review example service requests:
Example 1 – High quality service request
Service Required: Marketing / Social Media
Service Type: Online / Remote service
Likelihood to hire: Definitely going to hire someone
Business size: National
Industry sector: Membership organisation
Current marketing activities: None
Required marketing services: Advertising, digital marketing, PPC, SEO, social media management
Monthly budget: $500 – $999
Start date: ASAP
Any other requirements: Advertising, Graphic & logo design, PPC, SEO, social media marketing, Web Design
So they are looking for marketing and social media services, and online and remote which is ideal. For likelihood to hire they have said “definitely” going to hire. They are a national business so this is good. Industry sector is a membership organisation so this is also good. Current marketing activities is listed as none – so again this could be an advantage, as they may be looking for a marketing or social media manager who can cover multiple areas for them.
So they are looking at advertising, marketing, PPC, SEO and social media management. They could be looking for one marketing manager or an agency to cover the activities for them, or they may want to discuss which marketing initiatives would be most suitable for them.
Budget per month is $500 – $999 so this is good, and you can see how only a handful of clients are needed to build a full time income. Especially when services like marketing and social media management are ongoing services, rather than one time projects.
Start date ASAP – this is also good, the more urgent a project is the better the service request, you want projects which are definite with fast timescales, not projects which are vague and have long timescales.
Other requirements, so they may be planning on doing all this, or they may list out different options to discuss. So this is an example of a high quality service request.
You can start browsing real time social media client service requests.
Example 2 – High quality service request
Service required: Social Media Marketing Expert
Service type: Online/Remote service
Likelihood to hire: Definitely going to hire someone
Business size: National
Industry sector: B2C
Current marketing activities: None
Required marketing services: Facebook, Instagram, want to sell more of my product
Monthly budget: $500 – $599
Start date: ASAP
Any other requirements: Content creation, social media management, want to outsource my social media
So they are looking for a Social Media Marketing Expert. Again, online / remote so can be served from anywhere. Also “definitely” going to hire someone, so again this is a strong service request. Business size is national, so this is also good. Industry sector is B2C – so this is Business to Consumer. Current marketing activities is none, sometimes this may mean they have tried different types of activities or campaigns and stopped certain campaigns etc.
So they want to use Facebook and Instagram to sell more of their product. Another good budget here $500 – $999 per month. So it's easy to see how you literally only need a small number of clients to reach a full time income. For start date they have put ASAP – again this is also good, you always want ASAP or fast timescales, not long or slow timescales.
So they are also looking at content creation, social media management and social media outsourcing – all ideal tasks for a Social Media Manager.
Ok let's look at one more example high quality service request.
Example 3 – High quality service request
Service required: Social Media Marketing Manager
Service type: Online/Remote service
Likelihood to hire: Ready to hire now
Business size: Regional
Industry sector: B2C
Current marketing activities: Advertising
Required marketing services: Facebook, Instagram
Monthly budget: $1000 – $1,500
Start date: ASAP
Any other requirements: Looking for someone to run our social media. We are a well established realtor
So they are looking for a Social Media Marketing Manager. Online / Remote service, also ideal as this can be done anywhere, you don't want to be limited to serving clients in a certain city or state for example. Ready to hire now – so again their requirement is urgent, making this a high quality service request. Regional business, this is also fine. In fact the business could be international, national, regional or local, ideally it needs to be an established business or a small business wanting to scale up. Industry sector is B2C so this is business to consumer.
So for current marketing activities they are doing advertising, so this is an area you would look into and ask about when talking with the business owner. Facebook and Instagram, these are generally the 2 most in demand platforms for social media management.
Monthly budget of $1000 to $1500, so again this is excellent and you can really see how you only need a very small number of clients to earn a full time income. So they want services to start ASAP which is good.
And they are a well established realtor, looking for someone to manage their social media, so this is also good. So this is an example of a high quality service request.
Ok so now that we have reviewed 3 example high quality service requests, let's now review some good quality service requests so that you can see how service requests differ, and how to spot the best ones so that you can reach your goals as fast as possible.
You can start browsing real time social media client service requests.
Or wait until the end of the article series for full details on how to close clients and reach your goals as fast as possible.
Example 4 – Good quality service request
Service required: Social Media Marketing Expert
Service type: Online/Remote service
Likelihood to hire: Definitely going to hire someone
Business size: Local
Industry sector: Restaurant
Current marketing activities: Advertising
Required marketing services: Facebook, Instagram
Monthly budget: Less than $500
Start date: In the next month
Any other requirements: Looking for help with social media management and posting for our restaurant
Ok so they are looking for a social media marketing expert. Again online and remote so this is good. They are definitely going to hire someone, so again this is good. Local business, this is fine too. So they are a restaurant, this is fine, larger restaurants can afford to outsource social media management, for smaller restaurants this would be less likely. So they currently advertise.
So again the top 2 platforms for social media management services – Facebook and Instagram
Ok so for the budget they have put less than $500 per month, so this could be ok, it would depend on the budget and what they are looking for.
Remember the larger the budget, the lower the number of clients you need. It's better to have a smaller number of higher paying clients, than lots of lower paying clients. The fulfilment will be easier for you, and you would also have more time to provide a high quality service to your clients.
Start date – in the next month. So notice the difference from the high quality service requests which said ASAP, to this one which says in the next month.
So this could still be a great client, but if you are starting out or need to build your client list it's always going to be better to go for the best and urgent projects, once you have built up your client list, then that would be a good time to explore and find other clients with projects which may be future dated, depending on how many clients you want and which types of projects are of interest to you.
For requirements, they want social media management and posting. So this is an example of a good quality service request.
Ok so here is another quality service request. We are starting to build momentum here and you can see how different factors affect the quality of a service request. This is going to help you reach your goals as fast as possible.
Example 5 – Good quality service request
Service required: Social Media Marketing Expert
Service type: Online/Remote service
Likelihood to hire: Definitely going to hire someone
Business size: Local
Industry sector: Dentist
Current marketing activities: Dentist
Required marketing activities: Facebook, Instagram
Monthly budget: $1,000 – $1,500
Start date: In the next month
Any other requirements: Want more Invisalign and dental implant patients
So they are looking for a social media marketing expert, this is good
Also online and remote… the days of having face to face meetings with service providers are different to how things used to be. Business owners are happy to have services provided remotely and without a face to face meeting.
So likelihood to hire is definite which is also good and they are a local business. And they are a dentist which is very good, as the dental sector has lots of marketing opportunities. So they are currently advertising.
And they are also looking for Facebook and Instagram social media management
Budget is $1,000 to $1,500 per month which is excellent. Due to the value of a dental patient, dentists only need to get a small number of new patients each month in order to generate strong revenue, so they can afford to pay for marketing and advertising.
Start date in the next month so this is fine, not as good as ASAP but sometimes a business owner may be busy and not have time to start with a new service provider until later in the month etc, so you have to see this in context.
So they want more Invisalign and dental implant patients, so this is excellent as these are high value treatments, both costing several thousand dollars per patient. Most dentists also have interest free installment plans, which makes the treatments affordable and accessible for patients, which also makes the marketing easier. Dentists typically have strong recurring cash flow and can afford to allocate a good budget for marketing. Additionally as they are serving a location, they want to stand out as the best dentist in their area, so dental marketing is a big industry in and of itself.
Ok let's look at one more good quality service request.
Example 6 – Good quality service request
Service required: Social Media Marketing Expert
Service type: Online/Remote service
Likelihood to hire: Definitely going to hire someone
Business size: Regional
Industry sector: Interior designer
Current marketing activities: Advertising
Required marketing services: Facebook, Instagram
Monthly budget: $500 – $999
Start date: In the next month
Any other requirements: Online marketing for interior design clients
So the service required is for a Social Media Marketing Expert. Again online and remote service. They are definitely going to hire someone, so this is good. They are a regional business and they are an interior designer. They are currently advertising. And they also want Facebook and Instagram management services. Their monthly budget is $500 – $999 which is also good.
They want to start in the next month, so again note the difference between saying ASAP and in the next month, but this is still good.
So they want to use social media marketing to attract new interior design clients, so this could be good, I would say you want to get a feel for the size of the business, say for example a small business with a team, compared to a one person operation.
The best clients are going to be ones who can afford to pay for ongoing social media management, if a client is a one person operation doing everything themselves, they may not be able to afford services on an ongoing basis, or they may be close to capacity and not be able to take on many new interior design clients.
We are building a lot of momentum now and really appreciating the differences between different types of service requests.
The methods and knowledge in this article series will give you the roadmap you need to get all the clients you want as fast as possible.
You can start browsing real time social media client service requests.
Or wait until the end of the article series for full details on how to close clients and reach your goals as fast as possible.
So let's look at some examples of what I call other service requests, then I will recap with a summary.
Example 7 – Other quality service request
Service required: Social Media Marketing Expert
Service type: Online/Remote service
Likelihood to hire: Definitely going to hire someone
Business size: Local
Industry sector: Roofing
Current marketing activities: Advertising
Required marketing services: Facebook, Instagram
Monthly budget: Less than $500
Start date: ASAP
Any other requirements: Want to outsource social media and run ads
So they need a social media marketing expert, online and remote. So for likelihood to hire they are definitely going to hire someone. They are a local business. And they are a roofing business. They currently do advertising, so this may be search advertising. And they also want Facebook and Instagram. So their budget is less than $500 per month. They have put ASAP, so this could still be a good project.
And they have said they want to outsource social media and run ads. So this could be search ads or social media ads. Also for a roofer, most people who want a roofer would search for one on Google or in a directory, rather than on social media. Also some projects start in one area and then evolve into other areas… there are no hard and fast rules.
So this could still be a good service request, but you can see the differences between the High Quality / Good Quality and other…
Here is another service request
Example 8 – Other quality service request
Service required: Social Media Marketing Expert
Service type: Online/Remote
Likelihood to hire: I’m planning and researching
Business size: Local
Industry sector: Hair & Beauty
Current marketing activities: Advertising
Required marketing services: Facebook, Instagram
Monthly budget: Less than $500
Start date: In the next 3 months
Any other requirements: I'm a freelance hairstylist and want to grow my Instagram following to get new clients
So they are looking for a social media marketing expert, online and remote. So here they are planning and researching…
So this is not good in terms of likelihood to hire, as it is very vague.
They are a local business, and they are a hair and beauty business. They are currently advertising. And looking for Facebook and Instagram marketing services.
So again for budget they have put less than $500. So they want services to start in the next 3 months, which in business is a long time…
It's very vague and may or may not go ahead.
Also they are a freelance hairstylist, so this means they are a one person operation. So they don't have a team and can only serve so many clients themselves. Depending on how established they are, they may not be able to afford ongoing monthly social media services. For these reasons, this type of service request is not as good as the other examples we have already reviewed.
Ok here is one last service request example, then we will cover a summary checklist
Example 9 – Other quality service request
Service required: Social Media Marketing Expert
Service type: Online/Remote service
Likelihood to hire: I’m planning and researching
Business size: Local
Industry sector: Health & Fitness
Current marketing activities: Advertising
Required marketing services: Facebook, Instagram, You Tube
Monthly budget: Less than $250
Start date: Not sure
Any other requirements: Want more personal training clients
Ok so again they are looking for a social media marketing expert which is fine. Online and remote. So again this requirement is very vague as they are planning and researching…
Sometimes people just want an estimate. So they are a local business, in the health and fitness sector. They are already advertising.
And they want Facebook and Instagram which is fine, but they have also put You Tube so it is looking broad already.
And they have a very low budget of under $250 a month, which is unrealistic for marketing services.
Some people are very cautious about spending on marketing and advertising, either because their operation is small, or because they are worried about getting a return on their investment.
But the budget is very low, and remember you want a small number of higher paying clients, not a big number of lower paying clients.
So for start date they have put not sure, again this is very vague.
So they want more personal training clients. So this is a vague service request, with a low and unrealistic budget. So this is the type of service request you want to avoid – and in order to reach your goals as fast as possible, you want to focus on the high quality service requests
Ok so now we are going to cover a summary on reviewing service requests so that you know exactly what to look for, so that you can get all the clients you want as fast as possible
So we are going to cover different factors and how one end of the spectrum would be high quality, and the other end of the spectrum would be lower quality.
There is no such thing as a perfect service request, but knowing what to look for can make it much easier to reach your goal as fast as possible
Likelihood to hire – high certainty or low certainty?
So for likelihood to hire you want to focus on the high certainty service requests, where clients are saying the are definitely going to hire someone which would be high certainty, compared to saying they are planning and researching which would be low certainty
Detailed and defined requirement compared to low detail
How detailed and defined is their project or requirement? The more detailed a project is the more likely it is to go ahead
Urgency and timescale – ASAP or low urgency and long timescales?
How urgent is their requirement? ASAP is much better than low urgency or long timescales like 3 – 6 months
Ongoing requirement or one time requirement?
Is the project or requirement an ongoing or recurring requirement? Compared to a one time project or requirement
One time projects can be good, and can also lead to new projects. Ideally you are looking for ongoing and recurring projects so that you can hit your income goals just by having a small number of clients.
If your clients are ongoing clients, then this also means that you would not need to find new clients each month, unless you wanted to take on additional new clients or grow a social media management agency
Suitable budget or low and unsuitable budget?
Do they have a suitable and reasonable budget? Remember you want a small number of higher paying clients and not a larger number of lower paying clients
Business type and operation
What is their business type or operation?
Are they an established business or startup?
Do they have a team or are they a one person operation? Also remember some industry sectors are better suited to social media management than others
Recency
And how recent is the service request?
The more recent the request the better, as older requests may have already been contacted by other service providers
Remember that the criteria for evaluating these service requests is based on the readiness to make a buying decision, which includes the speed. The more detailed a service request and the shorter the starting time scale – the higher quality the service request.
As mentioned there is no such thing as a perfect service request, but knowing what to look for can help you reach your goals much faster.
Sometimes there are other additional factors which make a service request even better like an urgent requirement for the business or key promotional period, and sometimes there is more than one decision maker or a business owner needs to consult someone else in their organisation which may take longer
Having reviewed the example service requests, and along with the summary and downloadable checklist coming up, you now have a detailed awareness of what to look for and what to avoid, which can help you reach your goals faster
Budget is also important and this needs to be in line with your services and expectations, as you want to have fewer higher value clients than many lower value clients.
Remember you only need a small number of clients to achieve a full time income.
Through using the methods in outlined on Fastkorp, students have gained many new clients within as little as 30 or 60 days.
The knowledge on this site can give you the roadmap you need to get all the clients you want, and avoid all the uncertainty and stress that comes from not having a roadmap or process to get new clients.
I really hope you are finding this article valuable, please leave a review and share your experience so that we can help as many people as possible achieve their goals. If you need any help or have any questions, please contact us for advice.
The age of a service request in terms of when it was made is also important, as you also want to be contacting potential clients as soon as possible after they have posted their service request.
People who are searching for your services right now are the low hanging fruit and the fastest way to reach your goals. Browsing service requests is free of charge, contacting potential clients is based on credits but there is a get hired guarantee or additional credits are provided. Service requests all come from people searching for services on Google – which is the key as service requests come from people who are searching for social media services now.
You can start browsing real time social media client service requests.
Or wait until the end of the article series for full details on how to close clients and reach your goals as fast as possible.
The strategy shared in this article series so far is the fastest way to get all the clients you want and need.
It’s also possible to advertise to generate your own leads, but this would take longer and be more expensive due to the cost per click and the number of clicks needed to generate each lead, as not everyone clicking on your ad would fill out a lead capture form, but you would still have to pay for each and every click, and you cannot preview the lead first so you don’t know if it would be a high quality, good quality or average quality lead. The best strategy is to start with service requests, and potentially look at generating your own leads in the future if you want to.
